MSP & VMS Software Questions
What is a Vendor Management System (VMS)?
A Vendor Management System is software used to procure and manage contingent labor. It connects staffing suppliers, requisitions, candidate submissions, contractor assignments, timesheets, invoices and spend reporting in one system with approval and budget controls.
What is MSP software?
MSP software supports a Managed Service Provider that runs a contingent workforce program on behalf of one or more clients. It gives the program office oversight of vendors, compliance, spend and performance across the clients it is authorized to manage.
Can each MSP client have its own branded portal?
Yes. Each client program can run its own isolated environment with its own logo, colors, portal name, welcome page, agencies, roles, workflows and program settings.
How are requisitions distributed to vendor tiers?
Vendors are assigned a tier when they are approved. Requisitions can be released to Tier 1 vendors first and to lower tiers on a configurable schedule, either automatically or by manual release.
Does Conrep track workforce compliance?
Yes. Conrep tracks vendor documents such as W-9s and certificates of insurance, worker onboarding and credential requirements, and assignment-level requirements, with expiration tracking, reminders and an audit history.
Can Conrep process vendor payments?
Conrep manages invoice approval and payment authorization workflows and supports payment integration with Stripe. The payment layer is modular so additional providers or bank integrations can be added.
